James Edward Anthony "Lucky" Luchtman, 71, passed away Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at his Grapevine home surrounded by his family, including Harley, his four-legged side kick. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Restland Coppell Chapel followed by a celebration of his life. Memorials: The family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or the Wounded Warrior Project. He was born July 28, 1942, in Detroit, Mich., to Erwin Luchtman and Virginia Mok Luchtman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the time of the Vietnam War. Lucky was a longtime resident of Grapevine where he was a member of the Grapevine Elks Lodge #2483. He retired in 1992 from Delta Air Lines, where he worked in logistics. Lucky loved boats, classic Corvettes and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He had an infectious laugh, a wonderful sense of humor and loved "happy hour" anywhere. Survivors: Wife, Judy Luchtman of Grapevine; son, Sean Luchtman of Grapevine; daughter, Alicia Nadai and husband, Craig, of Santa Maria, Calif.; granddaughter, Loren Madison Luchtman of Fort Worth; sisters, Virginia Ann Kelly of Colleyville and Pam Luchtman of Roseville, Mich.; and brother, Erwin "DeDe" Luchtman of Elmira, Mich.
