Ann Williams Obituary
Ann Williams, 84, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at University United Methodist Church. Interment: private. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to University United Methodist Church, 2416 W. Berry St., Fort Worth, Texas 76110. Ann was born in Star City, Ark., and raised in Delhi, La. She earned a degree in home economics from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She met her beloved husband of 60 years, Wayne, while working as a home demonstration agent in Cleveland County, Ark. She had a love of travel, cooking, history, art, museums, antiques and music. An excellent seamstress, she enjoyed making clothing for herself and her two daughters. Ann was a member of University United Methodist Church, the Sterck Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women for over 50 years. She enjoyed being a member of the same bridge group for over 50 years. Ann was a very generous and dedicated volunteer for her church, Meals on Wheels and Texas Girls' Choir and was an employee of the Fort Worth schools. She won many over with her winning smile. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Wayne F. Williams; parents, Oscar Crow and Hazel Crow Young; stepfather, J.T. Young; and sister, Louise Crow Tyner. Survivors: Daughters, Janet Sanford and husband, Casey, and Judy Hatch and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Sean Sanford and wife, Jillian, Amanda Hatch and Alex Hatch; and several nieces and nephews.
