Bobby Jean Troutt

Bobby Jean Troutt passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the age of 84. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Bobby was born June 29, 1930, in Big Spring to Gomer and Barney Troutt. He played football and graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth. He married the love of his life, Jean Sarratt, on May 19, 1951. He was the music director at South Georgia Baptist Church for several years. In 1972, he founded Southwest X-Ray Company and remained owner and president until his passing. Bobby loved his horses. He bought a ranch in Denton County so he could breed and raise them. He also enjoyed skiing and being in the mountains and had a cabin in Angel Fire, N.M. He also enjoyed gardening. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold Troutt and Paul Troutt; and sister, Betty Bade. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Jean Troutt; children, Dana Merchant and husband, Steve, of Double Oak, Debbie Scott and husband, Duke, of Amarillo and Randy Troutt and wife, Jami, of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
