1930 - 2006 Obituary Condolences Flowers
Carmine "Carmen" A. Venezia Jr., 75, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at home Tuesday, June 20, 2006, after a fierce battle with cancer.

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford.

Mr. Venezia was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Newark, N.J., to Carmine and Rose Venezia. He and his wife, Nancy, lived in Scotch Plains, N.J., until 2002, when they moved to Weatherford.

Carmen was a longtime member of the National Cutting Horse Association, and watching, riding and owning cutting horses was one of his greatest loves. He also loved being with his grandchildren at horse shows, dance competitions, baseball practice and games.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carmine.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, and other caregivers who provided him wonderful care during his illness, with special thanks to Vitas Hospice and its loving nurses, aides and constant caregivers.

Survivors: Carmen leaves behind his wife, Nancy, who has tirelessly been by his side day and night for the last eight months of his illness; his daughter, Judy Morris and husband, Craig, and their children, Amanda and Alex of Weatherford; his daughter, Karen Calta and husband, Bob, of Gladstone N.J., and their children, Brett, Justin, Jonathan, Kariane and husband, Mo; his daughter, Siobhan Venezia of Basking Ridge, N.J.; and his daughter, Robin Suriano and husband, John, and their children, Zachary and Ranie also of New Jersey. He is also survived by his mother, Rose, age 95, of Edison, N.J.; brother, Raymond; and sisters, Jean and Rita Ann, all of Edison, N.J. Carmen has many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
