ZAG Elizabeth "Betty" Cecilia (Lucas) Zag, age 95, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 30, 2012. She was a loving, dedicated and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be missed by all and never forgotten. She was born February 4, 1917 in Corning, Ohio. Member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for over 56 years. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Tessie Lucas, her husband of 29 years Michael J. Zag, all of her brothers Johnny Lucas, Stephen (Irma Moore) Lucas, Frank (Ethel) Lucas and Andrew (Ann) Lucas, all of her sisters, Margaret (Corbert) Hammond, Anna (Andy) Jozsa and Julia (George "Rocky") Rockwell. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cecilia Ridenour, Canal Winchester, OH; her son Joseph Michael Zag, Whitehall, OH with whom she made her home; and her son, Christopher G. (Lisa) Zag, Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Allen (Paige) Ridenour, Marietta, OH, Sean (Lisa) Ridenour, Granville, OH, Bruce (Nayesha) Ridenour, Canal Winchester, OH, Amie (Ryan) Keller, Delaware, OH, and Michael and Alyssa Zag, Columbus, OH; nine great-grandchildren, Erin (Brooks Chrzan) Hamill, Sarah, Alex, Ben, Calum, Lee Ann and Malena Ridenour and Austen and Jessica Keller; one great-great-grandchild, Amara Chrzan; brothers-in-law, Andy (Clara) Zag, Reynoldsburg, OH, Robert Zag, Riverview, MI; sisters-in-law, Irene D. Eanes, Riverview, MI, Thelma Zag, Columbus, OH, and Nancy Zag, Galloway, OH; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; longtime friends, Ruth Hawk, Elizabeth "Libby" Herbst, Ruth Miller, Gordon and Doris Rader and Herb and Geri Torr; "adopted daughter" Ciatisa "Vi" Walker. Special thanks to caregivers Tina Long and Tracey Whitmill for the extra special loving and personal care they gave our mother during her final days. Friends may call Friday, January 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN EAST CHAPEL, 4019 East Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43227. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43213. Rev. Fr. William L. Arnold, Celebrant. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Mark Section, Lockbourne, Ohio. The family requests no floral arrangements.
