Absalom Carter

Carter Absalom "Larry" Carter, age 85, of Columbus, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Larry was a lifetime member of Goldwing Road Rider's Association and retired from Roadway Express. Preceded in death by his first wife Betty Carter and daughter-in-law Mary Carter. Survived by his loving wife, Gladys Marie Carter; sons, Richard Carter, Douglas (Ann) Carter, Larry (Connie) Carter, and Timothy (Dee-dee) Carter; daughters, Zana (Matt) Schweyer, Jennifer Carter, Peggy (Everett) Kirk, and Bonnie (Jim) Milam; 19 grandchildren, 21 great-grand-children; loving relatives and a host of friends. Family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at THE TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard, OH 43026, where a funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. with Pastor John Palmer officiating. Larry was an avid animal lover, especially his dogs.
