Betty Gammons

Gammons Betty Gammons, age 85, passed away peacefully Friday, February 7, 2014 at University Hospital East. She was born in Longacre, WV on October 5, 1928, and moved to Columbus in 1956. Betty worked at OSU and Grant Hospitals for 21 years. Her parents, Doc Eggleston and Amanda Preston, and husband of 58 years, Windom L. Gammons, precede her in death. She is survived by brother, Richard Eggleston; sisters, Lillie Bell White and Florence (William) Carter; children, William (Sylvia) Eggleston, Ray (Linda) Hill, Vickie Gammons, Annette (Anthony) Griffin, Angela,Terry, and Richard Gammons, Angela (Al) Crawford, and Marilyn Gammons; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 12Noon on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Sigsbee Avenue Church of God, 1322 Sigsbee Avenue, where visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-12Noon Thursday.
