Brenda Jean Collins-Allen

ALLEN Brenda Jean Collins-Allen, age 69, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord Thursday, October 4, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born June 14, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles N. and Virginia Collins, she was a graduate of East High School, and retired from Chemical Abstracts after 25 years of service. Brenda was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and a faithful member of Faith Ministries Church, where she was active with the Children's Help Ministry, Faith Force, and Bible Study. She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 50 years, Alonzo D. Allen; daughter, Monica (Larry) Jackson; brother, Charles N. (Semegn) Collins; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Wright, Jeannette Scott, Joyce Clark and Bernice Drayton; grandchildren, Nicole Jackson (Calvin Royal), Larry (Sophia) Jackson, and DeJuan Jackson; eight great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, other family and friends who loved her dearly. Special thanks to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospice. Homegoing service 12Noon Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Faith Ministries Church, 2747 Algler Rd., Columbus, OH 43224. Dr. C. Dexter Wise, officiating.
