Ernest Karl Rotering

Rotering Ernest Karl "Ernie" Rotering, age 82, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 in Venice, Florida. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 31, 1930 to the late Karl and Frances (Remmelt) Rotering. He served in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and retired from the State of Ohio where he worked as a Professional Engineer for 32 years. He was past president of Wally Byam Caravan Club International (WBCCI) and a member of the Ohio State Society of Professional Engineers. Ernie is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice M. Rotering; children, Dianne (Richard) Stickel, Kathy Ciamacco, Jim Seckel, and Beth (Robert) Anderson; grandchildren, Zane (Bethany) Stickel, Allison (Richard) Deal, Felicia Ciamacco, Joe Ciamacco, Josh Seckel, Elizabeth Anderson, and Nick Anderson; and great-grandchildren, Annabel Deal and Isaac Stickel. Ernie was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and traveling. He also enjoyed Ohio State football and baseball. Friends may call on Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
