Heer Esther J. Heer, age 87, of Dublin, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013. She was born to the late Linza and Bessie Leonard on April 7, 1926. Esther graduated from North High School in 1944. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science from The Ohio State University
College of Nursing in 1949. Esther was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was an active member at Northwest United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Esther was in National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and held many positions, highest of which was Franklinton Chapter Regent from 1989-1991 and was also a trustee at Waldschmidt House in Camp Dension, Ohio. During the same time frame, Esther's book was published titled, The Hartpence Family in America. In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by three siblings and her beloved husband Clifford V. Heer, to whom she married on December 17, 1949. Esther is survived by her children, Barbara (Denis) Foerst of Marietta, GA, Deborah Fox of Cumming, GA, and Daniel (Diane) Heer of Newton, NH; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica), Stephanie, Matthew, and Renata (Reese) Hoffa; great-grandson, William Benjamin Foerst; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Friendship Village, 6000 Riverside Dr., Dublin, OH 43017, where family will receive friends from1 p.m. until the time of service.
