Frank Frederick Distelzweig III

Distelzweig Frank Frederick Distelzweig, III, 66, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 following a courageous and inspirational battle with cancer. He was born February 9, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio. Frank attended Bishop Hartley High School and The Ohio State University; retired from the BWC as a senior information systems analyst; member of St. Brendan's Parish; long time volunteer portal worker at OSU Football games. Preceded in death by parents Frank Frederick Distelzweig, Jr. and Bettiejo Marshall Distelzweig, infant son Robert Bruce Distelzweig, and grandson Colin Michael Williams. Survived by his devoted wife of 19 years, Linda Distelzweig; daughters, Tammie Sue (Mark) Allen, and Tricia Kay (David) Krempasky; grandsons, Trevor Dillon Potprocky, Austin Lee Williams, Joseph George; great-grandson, Braiden Williams; brother, Walter Lee Distelzweig; niece and nephew, Kurt and Lisa Distelzweig. He will be fondly and sadly missed by his in-law family; mom (Ann) Hoffman, Beth Hoffman (Steve Fout), Susan Willard, Tom Hoffman (Lisa), Bill Hoffman, Shannon Willard, Julia Fout, Ian Fout, Andrew Hoffman, Will Hoffman, Liam Hoffman, and Emily Allen. Will also be deeply missed by special friends John and Cynthia Stiely, and Susan Williams as well as his Elegant Edge Skating Club Family. A special thank you to Dr. Tom Sweeney and the wonderful staff at Columbus Oncology. Frank had many passions including Model Railroading, Mustang GT's, Notre Dame and OSU football, the New York Yankees, and Pro Football. He coached figure skating to students of all ages and established the Elegant Edge Skating Club. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the . Calling hours will be held at COTNER FUNERAL HOME, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, on Thursday, March 14 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, March 15 at St. Brendan's Parish, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a Catholic Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. To be interred in a private family service at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
