Geno D'Ippolito

D'Ippolito Geno D'Ippolito, age 82, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center. Lieutenant for the US Navy. Graduate of West High School and The Ohio State University School of Civil Engineering. Retired from O.D.O.T, after 35 years, as Chief Traffic Engineer. President and co-founder of Ohio Logo's. Member of The Lions Club, Moose Lodge and Elks Lodge. Lifelong member of St. Margaret of Cortona Church and founder of their parish bingo. Original chairman of the St. Margaret Parish Festival. Avid gardener, enjoyed spending time with his family which was so important to him. He volunteered delivering bread and baked goods to the St. Lawrence Haven every weekend, which provided meals for the needy. Geno was a kind man who would do anything for anybody, and loved his family and friends very much. Preceded in death by parents Allessandro and Christina, and brother Guido. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Angelina, who he met while in the US Navy, stationed in Italy; sons, Michael (Lisa), Steve (Kelly) and John (Sara); grandchildren, Nick, Sarah (Dan) Castle, Mark, Tony, Carmen, Ellen and Alex. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday, at St. Margaret of Cortona Church, 1600 N. Hague Ave. Entombment St. Joseph Cemetery.
