George Howard Cheesebrew

CHEESEBREW George Howard Cheesebrew, age 91, passed away October 25, 2012. George was a mechanic for Rodenfels, Bobb, Bob McDorman and other Columbus Area Chevrolet Dealers. He retired in 1988 from Lane Aviation. WW II US Army Air Corps Veteran where he attained the rank of SGT. while serving in North Africa. Attended South High School, was a fixture for many years in the local Fellowship of A.A., former Boy Scout Troop Leader, Member Order of the Arrow, Clowned both in and out of make-up as "Howie" the Clown. Preceded in death by parents John and Emily (Howell) Lawson, step-parents Isaac "Ike" and Jane (Howell) Cheesebrew, wife of 55 years Jean (Colvin) Cheesebrew, siblings Paul, Delmer and Doris Lawson, step-sisters Freda Runyon, and Helen Brauckman, step-brothers Vernon Wheatley and Homer Cheesebrew. Survived by wife, Sherri Lea (Stout) Cheesebrew; children, Steven (Laurie) Cheesebrew of Renton, WA, Kathleen (Michael) Wesley of Newark, OH; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Irene (Colvin) Nolan of Pickerington; many nieces nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the MAEDER QUINT TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. HIGH ST.
