Fee Graham MacLeod Fee, 88, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, May 5, 2014. Graham was born in 1926 in Duluth, MN to the late Flora (MacLeod) Fee and Graham Bertrand Fee. He spent his younger years growing up in Superior, Wisconsin and as a pre-teen, moved to Whitefish Bay, WI. Following high school, he served in the United States Army
, in Italy during WWII
as a code translator in a field artillery unit. After the war, he attended the University of Wisconsin
, Madison and studied electrical and mechanical engineering. He worked as a Research Engineer for True Temper Corp. located in Geneva, OH, where he also raised his family. During retirement, he lived in Siesta Key, Florida and most recently Columbus, OH. Graham was married for 21 years and was preceded in death by his wife Luella Mae (Venman) Fee of Geneva, OH, his parents, including Lenna (Page) Fee, of Milwaukee, WI. Graham lives on through his children, Elisabeth Jane (Fee) King (husband, Jeremy R. King) of Marstons Mills, MA and Linda Jean (Fee) Oros (Jerry Amer) of Dublin, OH; and his grandchildren, Riley Graham King of Brooklyn, NY., Linnea Mae King of Marstons Mills, MA., and Stephen John Oros of Dublin, OH. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, S. Jane (Miller) Cryder of Maryville, TN.; a nephew, Eric C. Miller of Maryville, TN.; and a niece, Kristen L. (Miller) Johnson of Bowling Green. Graham's family was most important to him. Through his positive attitude, wonderful sense of humor, and keen intellect, he was an inspiration and steady source of valuable advice, support, and encouragement. While at True Temper, Graham held numerous patents and earned many awards. He invented several notable products, including a metal tennis racquet, a lawn sprinkler, concrete railroad tie fastener and a rail anchor which secured rails on railways across the United States. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with his family, working in his wood shop, building furniture, stereos and clocks, inventing, designing, and most anything about cars. Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 p.m. MONDAY, at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL, 450 W. Olentangy Street, Powell, OH, 43065, (614)-792-1471, where his funeral service will take place 10 a.m. TUESDAY, MAY 13, 2014 with Reverend Stephen M. Norden, officiating. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. TUESDAY at EVERGREEN CEMETERY, 350 Eastwood Street. Geneva, Ohio 44041 and local family friends are welcome to join the graveside service.
