Harris, Irene
Irene R. Harris, 79, passed away September 8, 2017 at her longtime Columbus residence. A graduate of South High School and retired employee of AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Preceded in death by daughter Vanessa Cornelius, father Willie Grandy, and sister Ossie Standifer. Survived by daughters, Toya (Tyrone) Travis and Valerie (Larry) Moore; mother, Elizabeth Standifer; sister, Clare Standifer; brothers, John and Mel Standifer; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration 11 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2017 at Southfield Missionary Baptist Church, 1399 Augmont Ave., where her family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the start of service. Bishop J. Hezekiah Martin, officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
