Patrick Larry Patrick,longtime resident of Groveport, Ohio and snowbird to Lake Alfred, Florida, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in Miami, Florida after a yearlong battle with cancer. Prior to his passing, Larry would tell friends and family, "I married well, I have wonderful kids, I had the best job ever! I had a great life! I had a great run!" He was born in Martin, Kentucky on November 2, 1947 to his parents the (late) Dewey Patrick and mother, Billie D. Patrick (Howell). A retired Firefighter
and Paramedic for the Columbus Fire Department, he saved numerous lives over his career. He was a Vietnam Veteran (Navy) and he received the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star
and Meritorious Unit Commendation. He was accomplished in his hobbies of pool, golf and fishing and was always very competitive striving at being the "best" in everything. He was a member of the Freemason, the Veterans of Foreign War (VFW), and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Preceded in death by his father, aunts Eulene Arnold and May Akers, and uncles Kermit Howell and Joe Howell, Jr. He is survived by wife and best friend, Anita Patrick (Ani); son, David Patrick and wife, Sarah, Centerville, Ohio; Dianna Patrick - mother of David; daughter, Larralyn Webb and husband, Bobby, Pickerington, Ohio; grandchildren, Harper, Finley, Bailey, and Logan Webb; Amy Raines - mother of Larralyn; mother, Billie D. Howell, Canal Winchester, Ohio; sister, Darnell Patrick, Canal Winchester, Ohio; nephews, Jeffrey, Michael and Justin Moore; sister-in-law, Linda A. and husband, Thomas R. Robinson, FL; uncles, Jack Patrick, IN and Garland Patrick, KY; aunts, Shirley Young and Phyllis Kerr, MD, Mildred Freeman, OH; cousins, Bill Howell and Michel Arnold; and many more. A celebration of his life and an Honor Guard ceremony will take place at the Columbus Fire Fighters Union Hall (IAFF Local 67) on Sunday, April 13, 2014, 12:30-4:30 p.m. The Memorial Ceremony begins at 1 p.m., 379 W.
