Lewis J. Lemley

Lemley Lewis J. Lemley, Dublin, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Born May 11, 1929 in Red Lodge, Montana. Graduate of Grandview H.S. and The Ohio State University. Retired Regional Vice President of Midland National Life Ins. Co. U.S. Navy in early 50's. Boy Scout and Scout Master (Eagle Scout), Past President of Columbus Life Underwriters Association. Past Commodore of Gravel Bar Yacht Club, Marblehead, Ohio. Member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. A 50 year member Community Lodge #684 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and a member of the Aladdin Temple Shrine and Aladdin Shrine Mariners. Preceded in death by his mother Louella Gottschalk Lemley, father Lewis Lemley, and son James D. Lemley. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Shirley A. (Nartker) Lemley; daughter, Jayne A. (Michael) Kaylor, Upper Arlington; son, Lewis Wayne Lemley, Reynoldsburg; six grandchildren, Dr. Joel R. (Meredith) Davidson, Andrew C. (Anne) Davidson, James C. Lemley, Laura Lemley, Kyle L. Lemley, and Keri J. Lemley; three great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy A. (Philip Treuhaft) Hagens, Marblehead, Ohio. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Burkhart Chapel at First Community Church, 1320 Cambridge Blvd., Columbus, Rev. James M. Long officiating. A reception will follow in Brownlee Hall. Family prefers in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lew's memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, Orthopedic Center, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502 or the Boy Scouts of America, 807 Kinnear Rd., Columbus, OH 43212.
