Lura Louise Wood

Wood Lura Louise Wood, 86, of Delaware, formerly of Columbus, was welcomed into Heaven, Tuesday, March 5, 2014, by her loving husband George, who passed away 3 months ago and beloved pet Beau, parents Morgan and Ada Bess (Kahler) Williams and brothers Tom (Nancy) Williams and Bud Williams. She was born August 11, 1927 in Waltham, MA. She was a 1945 graduate of Belmont High School, MA and a 1949 graduate of Middlebury College, VT, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She attended Methodist church her entire life including Linden Heights, Epworth and William St. She was extremely active in United Methodist Women organizations and volunteered in many more, too numerous to mention. Lura is survived by children, Linda (Theodore) Ferguson, Karen (Robert) Adams and Jud (Monica) Wood; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and brother, David Williams. The family wishes to thank the staff at Willow Brook and Heartland Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. at a later date to be announced.
