Marjorie Ann Guarrasi(1955 - 2013)

Guarrasi Marjorie Ann "Marjie" Guarrasi, age 58, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Doctors Hospital West. Marjie was born on October 11, 1955 in Columbus, OH to the late Paul and Mary (Parrish) Winters. She graduated from Grandview Heights High School in 1973 and The Ohio State University in 1978. Marjie worked as an Occupational Therapist for 15 years specializing in Hand Therapy. She also worked and taught computer programming at Columbus State Community College where she co-authored with her husband a text book for computer programming. She and her husband were competitive ballroom dancers. Marjie enjoyed Northern Michigan and her family cottage, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, and trips to Walt Disney World. Marjie took time to travel for 2 months on Route 66 seeing the country. She was also a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV Show and the online ATPO Group that discussed the show and met as a group. Marjie is preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul "Nick" Winters. Survived by her husband, Alan Shepherd; siblings, Mary Ann (Bill) Jarvis, Daniel (Jean) Winters, and James (Teri) Winters; nieces and nephew, Theresa, Kelly, Stacy, James, Katelyn and a host of other family and friends. Something Marjie loved was going to the Columbus Zoo; in honor of Marjie the family will gather on Friday, January 3, 2013 at the zoo and celebrate the spirit of Marjie's life during the Wildlights display.
