Mary Stavroff

Stavroff Mary Stavroff, age 86, of Reynoldsburg, OH, died on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Wesley Ridge Retirement Community surrounded by her family. She was born on September 12, 1927 to the late George and Antina Velianoff in Akron, OH. Mary was a member of St. Stevan of Decani Serbian Orthodox Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of Circle of Serbian Sisters. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jack Stavroff, son-in-law Christopher Biratsis and brother Boris Velianoff. Survivors include her four children, Linda (Michael) Woods of Groveport, Anita Biratsis of Reynoldsburg, Debra (Sam) Mamula of Reynoldsburg and Christopher Stavroff of Dublin; seven grandchildren, Christiana, Angela, Laurie, Nicholas, Michael, Matthew and Lindsey; nine great-grandchildren, Zachary, Taylor, Mila, Jimmy, Jack, Alaina, Ava, Aria and Costandina; sister, Eleanor (Van) Alexander of Akron; sister-in-law, Menka Velianoff of Akron; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends and family may visit the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Rd. N. Pickerington, OH 43147 on Sunday, June 22 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Pomen service will follow at 7 p.m. A funeral service will begin Monday, June 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Steven of Dechani Serbian Orthodox Church, 1840 N. Cassady Ave., Columbus, OH 43219. The Very Reverend Isak Kisin officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
