Mosbacher Matthew John Mosbacher, age 79, of Gahanna, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 8, 2014. He was born to the late Matthew and Helen Mosbacher Sr., on November 16, 1934. Matt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He had a great sense of humor and was fun loving, kind, and intelligent. He was a Korean War
Veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force
and was a member of the Gahanna American Legion. Matt retired as an Operations Manager from Western Electric after almost 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed horseback riding, fox hunting, skiing, boating on Lake Erie and camping with family. He was also a member of the Rocky Fork Headley Hunt Club and was "The Ultimate" Blue Jackets fan. His unforgettable smile will deeply be missed. In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by his son Matthew Mosbacher III. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda; daughter, Michele (Ted) Hoepfner; son, Kurt Mosbacher; and granddaughters, Miriam and Kathryn Hoepfner; siblings, Peg (Cy) Smith, Molly (Bill) Beilharz, Mike (Dianne) Mosbacher, Marc (Pat) Mosbacher; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD.)
