Nancy McDowell Masters

Masters Nancy McDowell Masters, age 75, of Upper Arlington, died peacefully Monday March 3, 2014, surrounded by family and loved ones. Nancy was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Hudson, Ohio, daughter of the late Ruth Howie and John Paul McDowell. She was preceded in death by her brother John "Jack" Mcdowell and nephew John McDowell. Nancy valued family and friendship above all else. Her loving kindness, generosity, intellect, wisdom, and quirky, wonderful sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Jennifer (Gregory Heisler) Masters and John (Kathy) Masters; grandchildren, Jack, Elizabeth, and Kate Masters; stepmother, Melissa "Mimi" McDowell; brother, Alan (Monetta) McDowell; eight dear nieces and nephews and their children; former husband, William Masters; and many other extended family members and close friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday March 21, 2014 at First Community Church (1320 Cambridge Blvd) where Nancy was a member for 40 years. Rev. James M. Long will officiate. The family will greet friends following the service.
