Norma M. Cuny Santanello

Santanello (Cuny) Norma M. Cuny Santanello, age 90 of Columbus, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013. Norma was born in New York, New York, and grew up in both New York and Cliffside Park, New Jersey, daughter of the late Ernest and Helen Brenner Cuny. Norma was a very outgoing, loyal and caring woman. She was also outspoken and always put family first. Norma retired from Battelle Memorial Institute. Following retirement, Norma volunteered with SCORE, Small Business Counseling of Greater Columbus. While there, she was a mentor to upcoming business owners but most especially, she enjoyed her time working with the Junior Achievement Youth in judging their business models. Norma was also a talented artist. She enjoyed oil canvas painting and also did some sketching. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 65 years, Peter Santanello; daughter, Patricia (Theodore Shannon) Santanello; grandchildren, John (Julie) Spiker and Stephanie (Kenji) Prince; cousins, Richard Brenner and Arlene Brenner; and other extended family and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd.
