Patricia Lou (Kent) Zarley

Zarley Patricia Lou (Kent) Zarley, 86 of New Albany, Ohio, died unexpectedly of natural causes, Thursday, May 2, 2013. She was born, February 18, 1927 to the late, Howard and Rosa Mae (Carter) Kent, in Uniopolis, Ohio. Patricia graduated from New Albany High School in 1944. She married Willard Bert Zarley in September 10, 1944. Patricia was an owner of a small agricultural business, Zarley's Berry Patch. She was a volunteer Assistant Curator for the Ohio Historical Society. Her passion for preserving history and artifacts, lead to helping found the local New Albany Historical Society in 1975. She served as Curator and cataloged items for the New Albany Historical Society. She was also a member of Franklin Evangelical United Brethren and Heritage Quilt Club. Patricia is survived by husband, Willard Zarley; brother, Ray Kent; her three children and spouses: son, Mark Zarley, wife, Karen of New Albany, Ohio; son, Steve Zarley, wife, Cindy of Bettendorf, Iowa; daughter, Pam Snyder, husband, Ron of Circleville, Ohio; six grandchildren, their spouses; eleven great-grandchildren and niece's family. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL,1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher RD) Gahanna. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at New Albany Presbyterian Church, 5220 Johnstown Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Pastor David Milroy officiating. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to , New Albany Presbyterian Church, or to the New Albany Historical Society.
