Coffey Patricia S. (Kolk) Coffey, 49, of Okeechobee, FL, passed away Oct. 18, 2013 in the Pataskala home where she grew up. At her side were her children, Jessica of Sacramento, CA and Rebecca, husband John, both of Okeechobee, and her parents David and Susan Kolk. She is also survived by her sisters, Lisa (Larry) Sheets of Columbus and Teresa (Chris) of Bowling of Pick; mother and father-in-law, Bunny and John Coffey of Jensen Beach, FL, formerly of Alexandria, OH; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to count. Patty was a 1982 Watkins Memorial graduate and National Merit Scholar, wrote a column for the Pataskala Standard, attended OSU-Newark, owned a frame shop in Pataskala (later one in Florida). Pat, as she was known in Florida, had a farm which drew many visitors as she and Becky taught them about the various animals there. She was always on-hand to help out a friend and they returned her love. Favorite past-times included reading, crafting jewelry, Words With Friends, and genealogy. She'd tell you her greatest joy was her children. Patty's brief battle with cancer has given us another angel to watch over us. No formal services are planned in Ohio. Cremation services provided by SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME.
