Paul Snouffer

Snouffer Paul Snouffer, of Worthington, passed away on his 93rd birthday, Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Paul was a life-long resident of Worthington, graduating from Worthington High School, Class of 1939, The Ohio State University College of Architecture in 1948, was a retired Partner of Lawrence and Snouffer Architects, and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Mertie Near Rader Snouffer, sister Jayne R. Lentz, brothers Elmer, Stephen, Leslie and Ray, his loving wife Hattie, and his son Stanley P. Snouffer. His survivors include his sons, Daniel P. Snouffer and his wife, Karen F., and John I. Snouffer and his wife, Niki Gnezda; grandson, Tyler J. Snouffer and his wife, Miriam Cleveland; great granddaughters, Kate and Becca Snouffer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paul was community minded and served on the committee to incorporate Worthington, thereby gaining their City Charter. He was a founder and past president of the Cardinal Boosters, and a past president of the Worthington Sertoma Club. He was also a long-time member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, York Masonic Lodge No. 563, F. & A.M. Paul loved painting watercolor scenes of barns and English landscapes. He was an avid golfer, a founding member of Worthington Hills Country Club, and a member of York Temple Country Club. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
