Peter W. Svaldi

Svaldi Peter W. Svaldi, born July 15, 1915, in Glen Carbon, IL, died March 29, 2113, in Columbus, OH at 97 years old. Pre-deceased by parents John and Amabile Svaldi, sisters Josephine and Catherine, and brother John, all of Chicago, IL. Survived by second cousins, Marjorie Jones, Michael Svaldi and Joan S. Farr; and many dear friends. Mr. Svaldi served his country in the Pacific during WWII and attained the rank of major in the United States Air Force. In 1935 Mr. Svaldi moved to Miami, FL and worked for Regal Brewery. He served as brewmaster for Anheuser-Busch in St Louis, MO. for several years. In 1968 Mr Svaldi moved to Columbus, OH, where he became the first brewmaster for the Anheuser-Busch Brewery and won many awards. He was an avid golfer and a devout member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He will be best remembered for his sharp wit, intellectual style and his congenial personality. Private Christian burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Chicago, IL. Arrangements by RAGO BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME.
