Roberta Lee Barber Hausman

Hausman Roberta Lee Barber Hausman passed away, February 8, 2013, after a prolonged illness. She was born March 12, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Joseph and Sophia Barber. She attended the Ohio State University and met and married Henry R. Hausman in 1947. She is the mother of Henry Hausman Jr., Ann (Greg) Lisk, Bobbie (Steve) Collins, and Joseph (Susie) Hausman. She is survived by grandchildren, Ali Hausman, Henry, Melissa, Jay, Michael, and Morgan Lisk; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Henry, and Alexander. Roberta, or Bert as she was known to family and friends, was a highly respected business woman. She was the bridal buyer at Lazarus and managed that department for many years until her retirement. She loved spending time in her cabin in Tennessee. She helped found and organize the first sports opportunity for girls in Hilliard. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Her family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. on Tuesday, at Peace United Methodist Church, 235 Diley Road NW, Pickerington, OH 43147, with a memorial service at 4 p.m. Pastor Seth Oiler officiating. Friends are invited to stay and share in a time of fellowship following the memorial service. Bert's family requests donations are made to the Fairfield County Humane Society, in lieu of flowers.
