Williams Ruth Cox Williams, 92, of Brunswick, GA died Wednesday February 20, 2013 at Hospice of The Golden Isles in Brunswick. She was born May 3, 1920 in Freeburn, Kentucky to the late Roy L. and May S. Cox. She was a graduate of Bexley High School, attended Hollins College in Virginia and was a graduate of The Ohio State University
. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, The Junior League, American Women's Club in London, England, and was a volunteer for the Cerebral Palsy Auxiliary and Burwood Home for The Blind on Long Island, NY. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wright Williams and her sisters, Frances Hoopes, Virginia MacIvor, and Lucille Kirk. Survivors include her daughter, Carol W. Holloway of Brunswick, GA; a granddaughter, Jessica Holloway - Bates of Savannah, GA; her faithful canine companion, Lizzie; her loving nieces and nephews, Gilman and Sandra Kirk of Columbus, Lucille Kirk of New York City, James and Susan Kirk of San Francisco, CA, Richard and Colleen Kirk of Columbus, Virginia and Henning Meyn of Brevard, NC, Angus and Bobbi MacIvor of Lewisburg, WV, William and Debby Hoopes of Delaware, OH, Louise and Jim Gordon of Marysville, OH, Jackie Johnson of Sevierville, TN and Linda and Gale Trees of Marysville ,OH; her grand nieces and nephews, Kristin (Jeff) Florey, Zachary (Julie) Kirk, Lindsey W. Kirk and her husband, Jeremy Summer, Kelley Kirk, Alexis Kirk, William Kirk, Cameron Kirk, Victoria Kirk, Charles Kirk, William (Stephanie) Hoopes, Carrie (Kyle) Cieliczka, Christopher Gordon, Till (Laura) Meyn, Hanna (Thomas) Page and Flora (Sebastien) Lamoureux.
