Panarello Sal (Salvatore) Panarello, age 65, passed away on July 12, 2014 after a brief illness. Born in Messina, Sicily, Italy on July 9, 1949, he immigrated to the United States at age 17 to pursue his education at Don Bosco College in Newton, New Jersey. While earning his Master's Degree at The Ohio State University
, he taught at Holy Spirit School and St. Charles Preparatory School. Sal later became the principal at Immaculate Conception School.In 1983, he began a 30 year career working in the field of residential and commercial security for Tyco Integrated Systems, eventually rising to the level of Senior Strategic Account Manager in the banking division. Sal had an unparalleled work ethic, and was highly regarded by colleagues and clients, which led to annual recognition from Tyco for his achievements, of which he was especially proud.Sal also had a passion for photography, which led him to begin his own photography business, Panarello Photography. From 2001 to 2014, he was the owner of Tri Village Studio in Grandview, Ohio. He photographed over 1,000 weddings during his career.He was a member of ASIS International, Professional Photographers of America, and loved spending every third Wednesday of the month at the Columbus Italian Club. But more important to him than any job, hobby, or club, was family. Sal was a true best friend and perfect complement to his beloved wife. He was a father who was never afraid to tell his daughter that he loved her and was proud of her. He was especially proud of his daughter's marriage to a wonderful man, who Sal loved dearly. He loved making homemade wine, limoncello and different flavors of granita, and no holiday was complete without Sal's special cocktails. He loved to document family gatherings and events in film and video. He loved music, singing and he especially loved to dance with his wife or daughter. No day was complete without a glass of scotch, a good cigar, and some classical music while he sat in the gazebo in their backyard. He was a doting son, an amazing son-in-law, a loving brother and a playful uncle and great uncle to his many nieces and nephews. In June 2014, he became a grandfather. From the moment he met his granddaughter, he was in love, and his family was complete. Preceded in death by parents Salvatore and Maria Panarello, father-in-law Flaminio Cervi, brother Frank Panarello, and brother-in-law Gianni D'Amico. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jo (Josephine) Panarello; daughter, Christina (Logan) Fisher; granddaughter, Giuliana Fisher; sister, Concetta D'Amico; mother-in-law, Antoinette Cervi; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dominic and Lynn Cervi; and many loving nieces and nephews.Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 16 at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI FUNERAL HOME, 1068 S. High Street from 4-8 p.m. Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday. July 17, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4383 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio. Fr.
