Theresa Catherine Moody Moras

Moras Theresa Catherine Moody Moras, age 92. Died December 8, 2013 in Stroudsburg, PA, with her family near. A resident of Columbus since early childhood, Theresa (Tess) was born April 24, 1921 to Kathleen Clark Moody and Ernest Moody. She was the widow of Albert Moras of Columbus (1916-1992). She served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and she attended Ohio State University and the University of the Americas in Mexico City. She was a parishioner at St. James the Less Catholic Church and also attended Mass at St. John the Baptist. A volunteer with many Ohio organizations, Tess was especially interested in education and literacy and the welfare of children and animals. She is survived by her children, Antonia, Albert, Nancy, and Michael Moras; her grandchildren, Patrick Greene, Erin Beirnard, Becky Greene, Michael Beirnard, Maren Moras, Albert Moras, Andrew Moras, and Madison Moras; her daughter-in-law, Beth Powell-Moras; her sons-in-law, Charles Beirnard and Lewis Wilk; her grandsons-in-law, Danny Bacher and Chris Morris; her granddaughter-in-law, Carolina Posada-Lopez; her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Arthur Hanslik; and many nieces and nephews. Her remains will be buried, with military honors, next to those of her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Pennsylvania in spring 2014.
