Vernon Arthur Vick

Vick Vernon Arthur Vick, age 91, died February 24, 2013 in Madison County Hospital, London. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on August 4, 1921, a son of Otto Frederick and Lydia Emma (Pestel) Vick. A graduate of the Ohio State University in 1948, he had served in England during WWII as a pilot on a B-17. His career in aviation included instruction at Don Scott Field, OSU charter work and his own Aerial Agricultural business. He was also a farmer in Madison County. Survivors include his wife, Ann M. (Hymrod) Vick; sons, Vernon A. II "Joe" (Hortense McGhee) Vick and Timothy John Vick. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions in Mr. Vick's name to the Mechanicsburg Public Library, 60 South Main Street, Mechanicsburg, Ohio 43044.
