Forni Vernon Forni, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born on August 2, 1928 in Powhatan Point, Ohio to the late Clarence and Carrie Forni. Vernon served with 101st Airborne during the Korean War
. He retired after working for 43 years for Ohio Valley Paving. He was a Mason for 42 years. Vernon loved to travel and actually was able to visit all 50 states during his life. In addition to being an avid Buckeye fan, he was an excellent wood worker. He made everything from birdhouses to grandfather clocks from his home shop. Vernon will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to call him "friend." He was preceded in death by his brother Earl Forni and his sister Ethel Forni Ladyga. He is survived his by loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis; daughter, Linda (Chuck) Stenger; brother, Waldo Forni; and numerous nieces and nephews.
