William A. "Mr. Bill" Svekric

Svekric William A. "Mr. Bill" Svekric, age 72, of New Albany, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Bill was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Marie Svekric. Also preceded in death by his beloved son Wm. "Billy" Svekric. Bill graduated from The Ohio State University where he earned his degree in Engineering. He worked as a Registered Professional Engineer throughout his career and was the owner and President of Welding Consultants, Inc.; ASNT Fellow, AWS District Meritorious and published author. Bill was a very intelligent, meticulous and innovative man. He was a great friend to many and loved by all. Bill enjoyed boating, many hobbies and his work as an engineer. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly Svekric; daughter, Beth Svekric and her husband, Timothy Brown; daughter-in-law, Julie; grandson, Eric; brother, Fred Svekric; and dear family friend, Mike Sartin. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. Sunday and a prayer vigil will begin at 5 p.m. Father David Poliafico, Celebrating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
