William B. Wilt

Wilt William B. Wilt, passed away into a new life on February 14, 2013 in Tucson, Ariz. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on April 28, 1931, the only child of William I. and Dorothy Diamond Haralson Wilt. He was an Army Korean War Veteran. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University with his BS and Master's Degree in Education. He taught Speech, Drama and English for 31 years in the Columbus, OH School System at South High and Brookhaven. Parking Lot Supervisor for 20 years for OSU sports. He was a member of Sons of the American Revolution Benjamin Franklin Chapter (SAR), Neoacacia Masonic Lodge #595, Aladdin Shrine, B.P.O.E. in Green Valley, AZ, First Families of Darke County, Ohio, The Ohio Historical Society and worked for many years at Ohio Village. He was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church Columbus, OH, and St. Francis in the Valley, Green Valley, AZ. He married Connie Teaford Wilt on July 25,1959, and is survived by her and their two daughters, Kirsta Lea Meadows (Kevin) of Jacksonville, NC, and Mista Kay Wilt of Milwaukee, WI; two grandsons, Michael Meadows (Trina) and Nicholas Meadows (Jennifer); and seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Christian, Hannah, Justin, Thomas, Micaiden and Taytum. Also surviving are niece, Tamara Teaford Williams (Greg) Philadelphia, PA; Timothy Teaford of Pierre, SD; and sister-in-law, Joann Teaford of Wisconsin and Florida. Preceding him in death was grandson Benjamin Meadows and brother in-law Norman Baker Teaford. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Michael Meadows, Rev. Richard Burnett and Father Steven Ayotte will co-officiate the services. He will be buried in the Palestine Cemetery in Darke County, OH, at a later date.
