Montoney Dr. William Scott Montoney, age 83, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013. He was born June 18, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Hayward and Lora (Thompson) Montoney. After graduating from The Ohio State University
Dental School, Doc served as a dentist in the U.S. Army. He returned to Grove City where he continued his practice in the community for over forty years. Doc was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf. Bill was a member of Grove City United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He was also a member of the Grove City Sertoma Club, Grove City Masonic Lodge #689, and he sang with the Heart of Ohio Chorus. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Eileen Montoney; sons, William Scott (Janet) Montoney Jr., Matthew (Jeanette) Montoney and Andrew (Cynthia) Montoney; grandchildren, Nick, Tony, Beth, Ben, Josie and Michael Montoney; three great-grandchildren; sister, Rita Montoney; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Dean Montoney. The family will be receiving friends at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City on Friday, September 6 from 4-7 p.m. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Dr. William Scott Montoney will be held SUNDAY, September 8 at 3 p.m. at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, where family will receive friends one hour prior.
