Woodrow W. Moore

MOORE Woodrow W. Moore I, affectionately known as Woody, was born in Nashville, Tennessee on June 20, 1947. He has resided in Columbus, Ohio over 55 years and was a graduate of East High School. Woodrow received Jesus Christ in his life as a teenager and was baptized at Union Grove Baptist Church. Woody retired from General Motors. Woodrow departed this life on December 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Willie Richardson, father James R. Grigsby Sr. and uncle Albert Paul. Woodrow leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Woodrow W. Moore II and Lance L. Burgess; stepdaughter, Kamilah (Michael) Twymon; mother, Dorothy Grigsby; aunt, Helen Paul; brothers, Robert Lee, James Jr. and Maurice Grigsby; grandsons, Jadyn and Jelani; granddaughters, Trinity, Kimani, Lauryn and Mackenzee; cousin, Wayne Richardson and a host of other friends and relatives. Funeral services 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E.
