ROBINETTE Carlos Robinette, age 83, of Plain City, passed away July 29, 2012. He was born September 16, 1928, in Martin County, KY to Lee and Effie (Hensley) Robinette. Carlos is preceded in death by parents, sisters Wanda, Lucille and Carol Sue, brothers Arville and Homer, infant sons and one great-granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Angeline (Jackson) Robinette whom he married on June 22, 1950 in Martin County, KY. Also surviving are his six daughters and their families, Joyce (George) Lester, Connie (Sam) Plank, Sharon (Ben) Thomas, Diana (Allen) Morsey, Lavaka (Gary) Garver, and Garnet (Don) Smith; he is a proud grandfather of ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. And last but not least, his little Yorkie dog, Holly Lynn. In his younger years, Carlos worked in the coal mines until he was injured, then became a diesel mechanic although coal mining was always his passion. He was faced with a lot of obstacles in his life, but overcame them and pushed forward to better his life and that of his family. Never a quitter, he always said that "Can't" is not a word in his vocabulary. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 East Main Street, Plain City. His funeral is Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Amity Baptist Church, 8336 Plain City-Georgesville Rd., Plain City. Rev. Chris Lemaster, presiding. Burial to follow in Jerome Cemetery, Jerome Township. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, they would appreciate all donations be made to The Amity Enterprise Baptist Church.
