Dear Tom,
I am so glad for our visit today--to be able to keep you and the children in my prayers and to have a Mass said for Nancy. It was a shock. I am fortunate to have known Nancy and her caring way. I am so sad for my good friend who has lost so much with her passing. You gave her much joy in many ways, not least in sharing in her passions for dogs and for the homeless. Tom, Adam and Lindsey,
I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's death. She was an inspiration to me as a young woman at the very beginning of my law school career and continued to be a mentor and friend while I was at Porter, Wright. My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Tom, if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

I knew Nancy fromour attendence at Bowling Green State University. She sat in front of me in our History of the American West class. I have remembered her after all of these years. And I served with her brother at the Attorney General until his retirement.
