To grandparents John & Sandy, Tim & Jan, great-grandfather Jim, and special nurse aunts...our sympathies have been with you and other members of your families, as they have been with Cousin Jenni, Andy, & Tucker, Aunt Rosie & Rod, and Kate. Celia will always be remembered, a beloved child who unified others, as will the devotion of those who provided her care. May your sorrow be replaced with healing, so that peace and comfort are yours. That's our ongoing prayer.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. She touched my heart although I never had the priviledge of meeting her. Sandy kept our sister, Joy, and me, Jean, up with her progress. Our Hearts are deeply saddened by the passing of Celia. We are even more saddened not to have found out of this until just now, as her memorial is taking place. Bruce, Nathan and I send our deepest heartfelt sympathy to you both and your family. Celia, in my eyes, was the most beautiful girl I have ever known. Her face and smile will always be with me. Celia, a beautiful gift for a short time. She could not have been more blessed in her life on earth. Her Mom, her Dad, her brothers, her grandparents, her aunts and uncles and many friends filled her life with abundant love and care. She may have missed out on some things we wish she could have known but she has had those things which are most important to all of us!! It is an absolute inspiration to watch all of you.Thank you.

I learned of Celia through a former coworker Jamie Allie Payne and followed your blog. Then was introduced to Grandpa Jim Betz and Opal, who would always give me updates on Celia. What wonderful parents you both are to continue living life when most would just want to curl up in a corner and say "why me", you have my admiration!! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time, THANK YOU for sharing your journey with me, I have learned about Batten Disease from you.
