Dear Sherry and family,
My sympathies to you all. My thoughts keep turning to when we arrived in Columbus and you and Tim welcomed us and took such good care of us as we settled in to become mid-westerners.

I wrote a remembrance of Tim on my Psychology Today blog:

I was glad to be able to travel to Columbus for the memorial service and funeral. It was nice to hear your family share stories about Tim that we students rarely got to hear.
My condolences and warmest thoughts are with you all.

As one of my mentors while at Ohio State, I have many fond and often humorous memories of Tim. There was and never will be anyone like Tim. Tim taught me to be a careful scientist, but he also taught me something I didn't think could be taught: creativity. I will miss Tim, but Tim's life will live on in our narratives of him.

To Sharon and all of Tim's family,
Our thoughts are with you as you remember the wonderful stories of Tim, his work and his family. The products of his work are well documented and the memories of his life with the family will be told again and again as you share those experiences. With love and condolences, Joan and Bob

I'm so glad I got to see Tim in October. He was always gracious and kind to me and I am sad to lose him. Even though I can't be at the reception and service, my heart will be with all of you.

Sharon and family, my condolences. Tim was a dear colleague. Also,Sharon, I wanted to mention your rescuing of Tim the night he was shot at the Dell Restaurant in a robbery in 1975. I was in the car that night when you pulled him into the front seat, & know that your quick decisions led to him having another 34 years of life. Best wishes, John Harvey

Sharon:
Our time with Tim was short, but it was obvious from our first meeting that he was a unique and special person.
May he rest in peace.

Sherry and family, I am so sorry to learn of Tim's passing. He was my all-time favorite boss. I learned so much from him and always appreciated the respect with which he treated me. Joyce
