Vaughn Stocksdale Obituary

Stockdale Vaughn F. Stocksdale, 76, of Columbus, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 went to be with the Lord. He was born October 27, 1939 in Greenville, OH to the late Glenn and Ethel (Barnhart) Stocksdale. He was a graduate of Jackson High School. Vaughn graduated from Manchester College, IN where he received his BA and BS degree and went on to OSU where he received his Law degree. He served 2 terms in the Ohio Legislature, taught school, practiced law and was a designer and cabinet maker. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, enjoyed gardening, followed politics and was an avid reader. He was a winning debater. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Wilson. He is survived by Diane Stark his devoted and loving wife of 30 years; children, Margaret Stocksdale and Catherine Feldman; granddaughters, Jessica and Melissa; brothers, Don (Pat), Gene (Joanne) and Jesse (Connie); nieces and nephews. Memorial service to be announced at a later date. SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church or Ohio Health Hospice. Online condolences may be made to www.schoedinger.com
