My aunt Betty was a joy to me during my early years and she and her family meant a lot to me. I was always sorry I couldn't be more of a part in their lives as I matured but influences beyond what I deemed my control kept this from happening.

Betty was a remarkable lady who blessed you just by being in your life. She was gracious, classy, hard working and one of the most positive people I ever met. I worked with Betty for over 20 years at Chatham Village and her contributions were enormous. Linda and Clell I know that her passing will leave a huge void in your lives but rest well knowing that you did a remarkable job of keeping her in her home. She always closed our conversation in her later years by saying she was "holding on to the door knob"...that would not have been possible without your love and devotion; remaining at home meant the world to her. I treasure my memories of Betty and am a far better person for having known her. Thanks for sharing her with us, she was an incredible treasure. My heartfelt condolences.

betty sure did a lot in her life and that may have be reason why she lived as long has she did. Taking care of others was the biggest part of her life and if others that she worked with follow her example they will be better people. Her family can be happy with how she helped others and her family can carry on helping others and then the ones that get that help can carry on. Stay strong and cary on with betty's strenght in your life to help you carry on.
