Hagar Agnes M. Hagar, 90, of East Liberty passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in North Augusta, S.C. She was born April 21, 1923 in Bellefontaine, the daughter of Ralph and Iva (Patrick) Marine. Agnes graduated from Middleburg High School in 1941 and attended Business College/Office Training School in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the Middleburg United Methodist Church, where she played the organ, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Group. Agnes was also a charter member of the Mrs. Club of Middleburg. She is survived by her daughter, Naomi Jean (Roger) Mote of North Augusta, South Carolina; son, Dean (Connie) Hagar of East Liberty; grandchildren, Shannon (Josh) Pitchford, Heather Mote, Melissa (John) Kupfer, Jeremy (Debbie) Mote, Ben (Maryanna) Hagar and Nick (Stephanie) Hagar; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parentsm husband Clarence Hagar, brother John Marine. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 in the FRESHWATER, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, North Lewisburg. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Middleburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in the Middleburg Cemetery.
