Paolini Alfred Paul Paolini, age 84, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013. Preceded in death by wife Mary, children Barbara Circelli and Jeffrey Paolini, granddaughters Angela Dean and Amy Dean and brother Don Paolini. Survived by children, Susan Quinn, Debra Sheeley, Phillip (Misty) Paolini, and Anthony Paolini; brother, Lee (Katy) Paolini; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Frank Circelli; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Retired from Jeffrey Dresser Company, where he acquired a patent for his engineering work in coal-mining technology. In his role as Grandpa "Owl," he kept his pool open all summer, captained countless boat rides on Lake Erie, and hosted festive Christmas Eve celebrations each year. Friends may call Monday, October 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m., at THE JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Ave., Columbus. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Lockbourne.
