HERMAN Allan L. Herman Sr., age 71, of Columbus, formerly of Pataskala, died on December 28, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born January 9, 1941 to the late Charles and Eleanor (Cuthen) Herman in Dayton. Allan served proudly during the Cuban Missile Crisis on an Aircraft Carrier in the US Navy and served as a Master Chief. Before retirement he worked for Karoke Warehouse and was a stock broker at Skyline Securities. He is survived by his significant other of 15 years and fiancÃ©e, Laura Hardesty; son, Allan Herman Jr.; Wendy (Jason) Dunkle; grandson, Wayne Dunkle; brother, Gary (Roxanne) Herman; sister, Bonnie (Dan) Hale; special niece, Tina (Louis) Combs; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 5 -7 p.m. at the PFEIFER FUNERAL HOME, with a service to immediately follow at 7 p.m., Rev. Randal Gobel officiating.
