Sherman Allan M. Sherman, age 61, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2013. Preceded in death by his father Erwin Sherman and brother Kevin Sherman. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pamela Sherman; daughters, Whitney (Doug) Hill and Jillian Sherman; son, Johnathan Back; mother, Bettie Sherman; sisters, Shawn Garrett and Susan Hue; brother, Steven (Judy) Sherman; grandson, Oliver Hill; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Allan did everything in his life with gusto. He passionately supported environmental causes, was an active member in the local jazz and blues community, relished being in nature, had traveled the world, and donated his time to deliver meals to those in need in Delaware county. Allan, known to his friends as Big Al, made friends no matter where he went. The friendships in his life were treasured and he maintained many lifelong friends. He cared deeply for those in his life, most of all his family. His family was his pride and joy and caring for those he loved brought him great peace and happiness. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Meals on Wheels of Delaware County, 800 Cheshire Road, Suite A, Delaware, OH 43015.
