Ammon E. Yutzy, age 90, of Plain City, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, January 25, 2018 at Darby Glenn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Hilliard. He was born September 5, 1927 in Plain City. Ammon grew up on the family farm and continued his love of farming the rest of his life. He also worked at Ranco Controls, Plain City for over 17 years and was a member of Sharon Mennonite Church, Plain City. Ammon loved the Lord and was a student of God's word. Preceded in death by his parents Eli N. and Lizzie Ann (Miller) Yutzy, sister Viola E. Yoder, brothers, Enos Yutzy and Marvin E. Yutzy, sister-in-law Fannie Yutzy, brother-in-law Abe Farmwald. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mary (Miller) Yutzy; children, Stanley (Robin) Yutzy, David (Dorothy) Yutzy, Elma (Richard) Newswanger, Marcella (Joe) Stoll, Bertha Yutzy and Robert (Luann) Yutzy; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Farmwald, Orpha (Henry) Lapp, Mary (David) Hostetler; brothers, Melvin (Wilma) Yutzy, Freeman (Kathy) Yutzy, Wallace (Sarah) Yutzy, Wayne Yutzy, Ervin (Dorothy) Yutzy, Elton (Betty) Yutzy, Lee (Elizabeth) Yutzy, Mark (Elisabeth) Yutzy; sister-in-law, Kathleen Yutzy; brother-in-law, Perry Yoder. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Sharon Mennonite Church, 7675 Amity Pike, Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, January 30, 2018 and burial Sharon Mennonite Cemetery.
