Marvin Andrew E. Marvin, 75, passed away May 3, 2013 at his Florida home with his loving and faithful wife, Trudi, and loving nephew, Shane, by his side. His death follows a year-long battle with cancer. He is now at peace in the hands of the Lord. Survived by his wife of 38 years, Trudi (Phillips); children, Cheryl Marvin, Deborah Berry, and Rick Marvin; brothers Dick Marvin and Craig Walker, brothers and sisters-in-law, Harriet Leinaar, Harry and Miriam Phillips, Suzanne Phillips, Norman and Mary Williamson, and Michael Phillips. He is preceded by his father, Norman Marvin, and mother, Marie Walker and sister Julia "Sis" McCague. He had eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was very proud to have been a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, which he joined at age 17. In his early 20's, his love of music led to starting his own band, the "2+2's." He was a member of the Pro Bowler's tour and enjoyed golfing, especially with Trudi. His long career in the tobacco industry ultimately led to ownership of his own tobacco import company. His gift of humor and storytelling was endless. He had good looks, personality, and a soft, true-loving heart. HE HAD IT ALL. He will be forever missed. Viewing Services will be held at O.R. Woodyard, 255 E. State St. Columbus, Ohio, Friday May 10th, 1-3pm and 5-7pm. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May 11th at 10am, followed by entombment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne, Ohio 43137. An afternoon luncheon will follow at the Sunbury Methodist Church, 100 W. Cherry St., Sunbury, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
