Andrew N. Denman Obituary
Denman Andrew N. Denman, age 87, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Worthington Christian Village. He was born December 19, 1929 in Philippi, West Virginia to the late Louis H. and Carolyn (Miller) Denman. Andy was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict where he served from 1951 until 1955. He graduated from The Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor's of Music degree, his Bachelor's of Education and Master's degree in Education. He retired from Columbus City Schools after 26 dedicated years, where he was the vocal music teacher for Barrett Middle School for 22 years. Andy was the organist for Gahanna Community Church for 33 years and other various churches throughout the years. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by loving wife of 52 years, Marilyn Lee Denman who passed away February 15, 2012, sisters Frances Cornwell and Louise Talbot, brothers Louis and John Denman. He is survived by devoted children, Linda (Bonnie) Bishop, David (Jan) Anthony, Sandra (Paul) Baldridge, Nancy (Brent) Johnston, and Amy (Darrell McGrath) Denman; grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth) Baldridge, Christopher Harlor, Joy (John) Gregory, Philip Baldridge, and Andrew Johnston; great grandsons, Cameron Buzzard and Cooper Gregory; and many other extended family. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street. Private family interment to take place at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Worthington Christian Village Benevolent Fund.
